The anatomy of our foot is very complex. It consists of 26 bones, 33 joints, and more than 100 ligaments, tendons, and muscles.
Looking at the foot, you wouldn't even think there's so much in it, and if even one of these structures is damaged and its function is impaired, we feel pain, discomfort, or other symptoms. Sometimes these symptoms do not appear immediately, and we notice foot problems only when they are already quite advanced. Then treatment becomes even more complicated. We may not even always feel the way we felt before the onset of foot deformities and changes.
So why, when foot pain appears, do we often ignore it and think that it's just fatigue or uncomfortable shoes? After all, when we have a stomach ache, we immediately go to the doctor. So let's not underestimate foot health either!
